Welcome to GT Pre-AP English!

My mission for this class is to inspire you to expand your creativity, question the world around you and to think independently and critically. My hope is that you will leave this class with a passion for learning and you will never again be satisfied with what you already know.

Helpful Hint for Exam
Friday, May 27, 2011

Study your tests and quizzes from the different units. The Prince may be the most difficult section. I would study The Prince test and concentrate on chapters 17 and 25.

Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Summer Reading Assignments
Friday, May 27, 2011

The GT PAP Summer reading assignments are in my documents. You will find two documents at the end of the list of documents titled English I, which is the incoming freshman assignment, and English II, which is the incoming sophomore assignment. I will not be printing these, but they will be on my website all summer. I think you will enjoy the selections. Chat them up in our facebook groups or feel free to use my blog. Enjoy!

11th graders, stay tuned. Yours will be up soon.

While You Were Out!
Friday, May 13, 2011

For those who were out for AP testing or field trips on Thursday or Friday May 12 and 13th, I have uploaded a couple of documents for you to complete. One is the Passive to Active Voice exercise and the other is a 4-level analysis practice sentence. It's an easy 100 if you do them, but will not count against you if you don't. It's your choice. I highly suggest you do both as you may see something about it on a quiz or exam!

Thanks and have a great weekend!

Final Socratic Seminar
Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Our final Socratic Seminar is Friday/Monday the 20th/23rd. Don't forget to come prepared! I've uploaded the seminar questions in my documents.
